"A" Family Powder Room

We are very thrilled about how these two bathroom remodels turned out. I believe we have met the goal of exceeding our clients expectations. See what you think about our final touches.

BEFORE: THE POWDER ROOM

We started with mostly builder grade finishes. White cabinets and marble top, brass fixture, etc...

AFTER: POWDER ROOM

The clients were looking for a furniture-type cabinet so I designed a cabinet that was to look more like a piece of furniture, rather than a vanity. Then, we had it custom built for them. We used a solid maple base cabinet with custom beaded raised panel doors. We then added an applied molding to the surface of the doors for depth. Decorative furniture toe kicks and routed corners added furniture-like touches to this piece of art. The special walnut stained cabinet was then glazed for more character.

The customers requested a vessel sink. To make the design even more interesting I proposed to bring the faucet out of the wall through the mirror, rather than up through the countertop! We had the cabinet-maker build a mirror frame to match the cabinet and installed it with an inset beveled mirror. The customers offered their special touch by choosing the exotic granite with ogee edge.
We also installed two piece crown molding, painted the room, installed a new eco-friendly toliet, and installed new accessory fixtures such as the towel bar.
So what do you think?
